Biography
Peter Rogers lives and works as a family law attorney in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder and has been in private practice in Boulder ever since. His primary focus is Family Law, including dissolution of marriage, parental decision making ("custody"), parenting time ("visitation"), child support and spousal support ("alimony"). All financial and property division matters are also handled as they appear in each individual case. In addition to his legal education, Pete is a trained mediator and has completed the Child and Family Investigator training through the Colorado Judicial department.
Pete brings with him a wealth of personal life experience. His own personal experience has deepened his care and understanding for the very difficult circumstances surrounding the termination of a marriage. Financial matters are important; however, Pete believes matters concerning the children are most important. Acrimony and conflict between the parents has a direct and harmful effect on the children.
Pete brings straightforward, compassionate counsel and advice to these difficult situations. His skill, training and experience as both a lawyer and a mediator help him guide you through the legal system and all the challenges of a family law case. Pete believes that the best results in most cases can be achieved by negotiation and settlement outside of Court. Sometimes settlement is just not possible, so the case has to go to trial. Although his primary focus is Boulder, Pete has handled cases along the Front Range from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, and also in the San Luis Valley. He has tried cases in many Colorado courts, and he has mediated hundreds of other cases. Pete has the skill, experience and compassion to help bring you through your challenging and difficult circumstances.
